My Brand’s Commitment to the SDGs: Sustainable Development Goals
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Sustainable development is a vital concept that arises from the need to balance economic progress, social justice, and environmental preservation.
In practice, this means finding a balance between the economic, social, and environmental aspects of development, adopting actions that preserve natural resources, reduce social inequalities, and foster sustainable economic growth.

Sustainable Development Goals
The SDGs are a set of 17 global goals adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. These goals aim to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030. The goals can be grouped into several categories based on their main focus of action. Below is a brief description of each, organised by these categories for better understanding:

MY ACTIONS
As a brand committed to sustainable development, ANDREA CUJAR focuses primarily on three of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined below. These objectives are aligned with the brand's philosophy and values.
MY BRAND'S COMMITMENT TO NATURE FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
The beauty of nature is my greatest source of inspiration, and I believe it is our collective responsibility to preserve this beauty for future generations. That’s why I have embedded my work in the principles of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular emphasis on three of them:
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
I prioritise artisanal practices that minimise environmental impact by selecting sustainable materials and adopting ethical and eco-friendly production processes. The brand embraces sustainable manufacturing practices, uses recycled materials like brass for its creations, and has chosen eco-friendly packaging that is locally made and plastic-free.
SDG 13: Climate Action
Aware of the urgency of climate change, I am committed to reducing my carbon footprint at every stage of production, from design to the delivery of my jewellery, while supporting initiatives that promote the conservation of our planet. ANDREA CUJAR takes concrete steps to mitigate its climate impact by using eco-friendly alternatives to toxic products in the manufacturing process, such as replacing sulphuric acid with white vinegar and salt. Additionally, the brand pays a pollution tax during the gilding process to offset its environmental impact.
SDG 15: Life on Land
With nature at the heart of my creativity, I actively support the preservation of terrestrial ecosystems. Each piece in my collection is not only a tribute to biodiversity but also a means of raising awareness about the importance of protecting and restoring natural habitats. In the near future, the brand commits to donating €1 from every sale to an association working to protect trees and combat deforestation. ANDREA CUJAR thus contributes to the preservation of forests, ecosystems, and the animals that inhabit them.
With every piece of jewellery I create, I aim not only to celebrate natural beauty but also to contribute to a world where this beauty is respected, preserved, and cherished. In summary, these three goals aim to contribute as much as possible to the promise of a sustainable future through every stage of creating an ANDREA CUJAR piece of jewellery. This commitment is reflected in ethical and responsible practices and active support for environmental causes, all in harmony with the brand’s main source of inspiration: Nature..
