My Brand’s Commitment to the SDGs: Sustainable Development Goals

MY BRAND COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

My brand commitment to sustainable development is rooted in a deep belief: it is possible to create jewellery that respects the planet, people and future generations.

The Sustainable development is a key concept that arises from the need to reconcile economic progress, social justice and environmental preservation. In practice, this means finding a balance between economic, social and environmental factors, while adopting concrete actions that protect natural resources, reduce inequalities and support sustainable growth.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS AND MY BRAND'S COMMITMENT

As a committed creator, I draw inspiration from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to guide the concrete actions of my brand in its commitment to sustainable development..

Adopted in 2015 by the United Nations, the SDGs are a set of 17 global goals. They aim to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030.

To better understand them, they can be grouped by areas of action. Here is an overview of each one, grouped by their main focus.

MY ACTIONS

As a brand committed to sustainable development,ANDREA CUJAR focuses its efforts on three of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals are deeply aligned with the philosophy and values that guide my creative approach.

MY BRAND’S COMMITMENT TO NATURE FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Nature is my primary source of inspiration. I believe it is our duty to preserve its beauty for future generations.
That’s why I’ve rooted my work in the principles of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on three key goals that reflect my brand’s tangible commitment to sustainable development..

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

I favour artisanal practices that reduce environmental impact:

  • selection of sustainable materials (such as recycled brass),

  • ethical and nature-friendly production processes,

  • eco-responsible packaging, made locally and plastic-free.

Each step is carefully considered to minimise waste and promote more conscious consumption.

SDG 13: Climate Action

Aware of the climate emergency, I strive to reduce my brand’s carbon footprint:

  • eco-friendly alternatives to toxic products (white vinegar and salt instead of sulphuric acid),

  • limiting unnecessary transport,

  • voluntary contribution to a pollution tax during the gold plating process, to offset environmental impact.

These tangible actions reflect a commitment to responsible creation, at every stage of the process.

SDG 15: Life on Land

Nature is at the heart of my creativity. Every piece I create pays tribute to biodiversity and raises awareness of the importance of protecting ecosystems.
Soon, £1 from each sale will be donated to an organisation working to preserve trees and combat deforestation. In this way, each creation also becomes an act of support.

To conclude

Through these three goals, I commit to making every ANDREA CUJAR jewel a meaningful piece.
My brand commitment to sustainable development is expressed through ethical, responsible, and planet-friendly practices —in perfect harmony with my first source of inspiration: nature.
